We are experiencing a big trend in public sector clients using our auction and asset services when replacing assets, or removing old assets to free up space.
We conduct online auctions, maximising our reach in order to ensure that public bodies get the biggest financial return from their redundant and used assets. Our auctions typically reach 200-300 active bidder registrants with a historic 100% sale rate on council assets. Our bidder base is made up of 36% commercial/SME registrants, 57% private individuals, 5% charitable organisations and 2% social enterprise.
Working quickly and discretely, we help public sector clients sustainably dispose of their assets whilst generating maximum income, with no disruption to day-to-day services. NCM Auctions also hold a waste carrier licence so all waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous, will be removed and disposed of ethically and responsibly.
As a trusted partner to multiple public sector authorities we have a strong track-record with long-term asset management projects offering a transparent, hassle-free process.
Our public sector auctions include:
PROCUREMENT AND PUBLIC CONTRACT CONSIDERATIONS
We understand that the Public Contracts Regulations govern how public sectors contract with suppliers. Whilst many of our current contracts have been won via competitive tender, we do offer alternative routes for the award of contracts to our public sector partners. These satisfy the requirements of the regulations, ensuring compliance and value for money, whilst mitigating the time and resource requirements involved in running a competitive tender process. These alternatives also help you to get up and running quickly where time pressures might be a consideration.

NCM Auctions were appointed a contract for Auctioneers Services from Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council in late 2013. Initially contracted to dispose of surplus and redundant assets from 3 buildings prior to demolition. A large and complex project in scale, NCM strategically identified the opportunities associated with the demolition of these buildings and enabled DMBC to generate unexpected income rather than expense. Dealing with different sites simultaneously across many areas and uplifting some tricky pieces of equipment with a quick turnaround. The project encompassed a 11 storey building, Civic theatre and office block; and the objectives needed to be met within a strict deadline. NCM Auctions took a holistic solution driven approach to the project, marketing over 2000 individual lots to buyers from across the UK and Europe, selling a vast range of items from large industrial generators, boiler rooms & equipment to more unusual items such as theatre seats, being sold to various theatre groups around the UK. Since then NCM have gone on to sell redundant assets for various areas of the council, from fleet and machinery, to commercial catering equipment.
