Frasers Group has unveiled plans to close its House of Fraser store in Maidstone, with a grand vision to transform the 100,000 sq ft space into a multi-brand flagship destination.
As part of the first phase of this transformative project, NCM Auctions has been tasked with clearing the current contents, hosting a no-reserve online auction that features an array of retail fixtures and fittings, branded merchandising units, concession stands, catering equipment, homewares, furniture and more from the House of Frasers store.
The auction is aimed at providing smaller businesses, independent retailers, and charities the opportunity to acquire high-quality assets at reduced costs, supporting their growth while facilitating the redevelopment efforts.
NCM’s unique approach gives all the retail store contents a chance to be redeployed and renewed rather than going to landfill. A sustainable approach to clearing the retail units that help drive positive social and economic impact.
Jodie Hide from NCM Auctions explains:
“We have a huge buyer base and it’s great to see these smaller retailers using our auctions to help benefit their businesses. At the same time, we’re helping clear space and reduce redevelopment costs for our client.”
The auction is currently live, bidding is set to conclude on 21 February from 1pm.
